Automatic Rear Door Unlock

Is there any way to enable the rear doors to unlock once the car is in P? I always have to press the unlock button, otherwise my passengers have to pull up on the door lock to unlock it.

There must be as I've never had this be an issue. Often my kids start bolting from the car before I've come to a stop.

In the rear door jamb is a rectangular opening, just below the main door latch, put a small lever in and flip it up or down. I think thats where the child lock is check it out.

this is what i found for the 2008-2011 models but I'm not sure if its the same for facelift. I don't have this issue on mine they all open when i put it in P.

How are the doors getting locked in the first place? My '12 C250 does not lock its own doors, thankfully. That's a feature I have never liked. In any case, just hit the 'unlock' button on the driver door while stopping? That ought to do it- it'll unlock all four, anyway.

That was mentioned 0_o

I don't think there's a solution to this problem.

You should be able to turn Automatic locking on or off through the system settings in the DIC.

On my car when I put it on P and yank the lever to open the car the doors auto unlocks and I can open the doors without pressing the unlock botton. You cannot do this on the rear doors that has the child lock enabled. This is not the case on my ML though which you need to press unlock before the rear doors unlocks.

Just checked both child locks and they are both unlocked. Once the car is in P, can you hear them unlocking or do they just unlock once somebody pulls to open the door?

I do want the doors to automatically lock once the vehicle is in motion, but I also want them to unlock once the car is stopped in P. I've had lower quality cars that have had this feature. Just seems odd that I have to hit the unlock button every time for my passengers to be able to exit the vehicle.
