Hello all.
I currently drive a 2001 Acura Integra GSR (Full Type R swap and full bolt on). It's a great little car, but I need a more adult car. I worked for a Mercedes-Benz dealership here in Pennsylvania for 2 years (a few years ago). I always loved being able to drive them. Now I'm in a better career and financial situation so I'm on the hunt. Tomorrow i am going to check out a 2014 C300 Sport AMG package. The car is black with leather/suede seats and the red seat belts/stitching etc. It has 26,XXX miles and is CPO'd.
Now from talking to my old sales manager he mentioned the sport wheels are kindof weak (the half black/chrome wheels). I think they are kindof tacky and would be changed sooner rather then later anyway. Anything else that would be good to know? My friend insists they have differential issues after 50-75k miles but that would be news to me...

Welcome,
Huh tacky steering wheel? If it has the red stitches it should also have the aluminum trims pieces so it should match perfectly with the steering wheel. New C300 steering wheel also has aluminum so it is not gone. I would not count on what your friend said being true, it is a 2 year old car after all to be in the 50-75k range. If you plan on keeping it for a while you will have warranty for many years if you extend the CPO.

I've be searching the forums for a little bit. I see I can fit a 19x9 +35 wheel all around. What tire would you guys suggest? 235/40/19?

It's hard to tell but the only issue I can see that might bother you later is it looks to have the Audio 20 system. That tends to be in the AMG Sports Plus package for some reason.
So it may lack the HK audio, navigation and rear view camera. Although the rear view camera in a C-Class in nothing special.

It was lacking the navigation but the dealer split the Garmin add on piece 50/50 with me. As for speakers I forget if it was the HK setup or not. It does not have the reverse camera so I assume from what you said it wasn't the HK lol. Regardless this car in infinitely nicer then my 2001 Acura Integra. I'm still in awe going from a Benz detailer 7 years ago to owning one.

defiantly an upgrade, the garmin does the job its just annoying taking it off at every location.
If you hear the Hk system its much better than the audio 20 and over time of playing loud music the audio 20 feels like its dying hahaha.
you can always upgrade to aftermarket speakers but the upgrade to Navi is like 3000-5000$ depending on dealer.
I think I might open my car up and see if its pre wired, if thats the case I might try to upgrade to a navi unit, If not I'm keeping it as is.
once you start modding it you won't be able to stop hahaha. i left mine stock for a year now it seems like I'm always looking to do something to it.
Enjoy the car

I meant un clipping it from the mount so it won't get stolen. I have one that hangs off the windshield that you plug in the cig lighter spot.
What navi do you have? post a pic I'm interested in seeing what you have

Ah thats what I thought you meant. I forget the exact term but my in dash screen unit has the option of nav, but no nav installed. Mercedes sells a plug in unit that's permenant in the glove box region. The saleswoman said it looks Garmin esc on the screen, but it acts as a plug and play unit as if you had nav stock.

I'm disappointed I don't have ILS, keyless, dynamic suspension and all but I still enjoy the car. I did add paddle shifters which it looks like that car comes with.
The backup camera is really terrible in every C-Class all the way up to the C63. So that's no loss.

That would the term I was looking for! I was informed that once it was plugged in, it acted as though the car came with Nav stock. She said it also still has the POI's and everything like the stock unit.

If it came with every factory feature the car would cost a fortune, lol. What's important is that you are happy with it. But quite a few people wind up disappointed when they realize there is no backup camera or premium sound which is why I pointed it out.

Isn't that one easier to update than the stock navigation?
They are adding in a whole new interchange on to the highway here and my navi will then be very outdated.

These are very nice wheels ! I was not sure until everyone that seen them commented on them so I am very pleased with mine! I don't what other wheels that are being considered tacky?
