question on 40K service
2012 C300 is due for service.
The service book indicates the C300 gets a transmission fluid change at 40,000 miles. I'm confused because the service tech says that this isn't due until 70K.
What's correct?

The service tech is correct if you have the 7G+ tranny that uses the new blue tranny fluid. All the transmissions with the blue fluid have longer service interval. Run your vin and see if you have the reduced friction option, or call your dealer sales department and ask them what type of fluid your car takes based on the vin and you'll know.

2013 C300 AMG package, 2000 4Runner Limited
Long time lurker, just had my 30k service for a 2013 C300 4matic, was also told that 72k is the service interval for transmission flush on the 7g plus. I think all 2013+ have them, but not sure about prior so check your VIN as suggested.
