alignment help

I've had two alignments at the dealer so far and need to go back in in for a 3rd.

At 24,328 miles it was found the front toe was off, primarily on the left. An alignment bolt kit was installed and the final report was in spec. Front toe was off -41 min. and left was -39 min. Report shows total 4 min. after the alignment. Both front tires had cupping.

After getting the car back the wheel was off center and I still had a slight pull.

The car went back in at 25,811 miles and it was found the front toe was off center and rear toe was off a "little bit". I wasn't given a report for the second alignment.

What would be the reason the toe would have been off immediately after the first alignment?

I'm at 27,000 miles now and the pull to the right has come back. I did hit a pot hole not too long after the 2nd alignment. So I'm not sure if that was my fault of if something else is going on.

I do think the pothole was the cause for the second one. It wasn't so bad anything was damaged, bent, etc. but the timing was suspect and it felt good leaving the dealer the second time.

I had two dealers involved. Dealer #1 said the strut was bent when I tried to get alignment #1. Two independent shops said the strut was fine. So I went to dealer #2 which has done the two alignments so far. Dealer #2 also said strut was not bent.

I also had bent rims on the right side of the car (now fixed) and the wheel bearing needed to be repacked. I have no idea if it is all related or not. But the dealer inspected all the bushings and re-torqued the entire front end suspension. So if anything were still wrong I would think they'd have found it by now.

So to recap, what has been done so far
  1. Rims fixed
  2. 3 shops verified strut was fine
  3. alignment
  4. re-torqued and checked all front end suspension
  5. front wheel bearings repacked
  6. alignment #2
  7. new tires

Now getting ready for alignment #3.

Another thing I find interesting is the bent rims were on the opposite side of the car (right) from where the alignment issues and wheel bearing problem was the worst (left).
