Facelift C300 CF Rear Diffuser
I have been searching and I cannot find an answer. I have a CF rear diffuser coming in a few days. Via the awesome DIY made by user DOCKT, I have the general gist of the installation. What I read elsewhere was that the facelift 12-14's DO NOT have the Torx 20 screws on the far left and right and actually have rivets.
How did you facelift guys do this? Did you remove the entire rear bumper to drill out those rivets? Is there a way to do it without removing the bumper?

no need to remove the bumper. remove the tips and drill it out, and get some small bolts and washers and install them, instead of getting new rivets.
I can say thats the easy part of the install.
my tip would be install the brackets on the car first then go clip the diffuser in from the middle and work your way to each side. than put all the finish bolts on the diffuser brackets and the rivet spot.
should take 10-15 minutes, took me about an hour the first time doing it alone till i said F this its about a million times easier with another person.

Just a heads up to facelift owners:
I bought my CF diffuser from ebay member "promotor2014". The product did have to come from Taiwan, but it made it here to Pennsylvania in 4 days (very impressive). The fitment seemed to be "on" more then what some people mentioned as "a fight to get it on both sides". I was extremely happy to see that this diffuser accepted the OEM C300 diffuser brackets.
No need to buy the C63 brackets.
Now to start my worry was having to take the exhaust off to get the rivet on the left and right side off. What I did was remove the 2 lower torx screws, and also the 2 10mm that hold the mounting brackets behind the diffuser. That gave me some flexibility and movement. Now I never planned on installing the stock diffuser again so rather then remove everything I used a fresh razor blade and trimmed just under the rivet. The diffuser came out no problem. Then I had flexibility in the bumper to slightly bend it and drill out the rivet.
Total time: 35 minutes start to finish
