Any Battery Experts ?
After replacing the front SAM, rear SAM, headlight switch, ignition switch, A/C buttons, and God knows what else, they finally found a faulty wiring harness that connected to the rear SAM. Once they replaced that harness and another rear SAM, all was good. The dealership logged about 45 hours on this car, and I was expecting to have a shop bill that was more than I paid for the car... but the dealership was more than reasonable with the charges for their time and attention.
Back on the road, my son is happy to get his wheels back!
SIDE NOTE: I'm not a battery expert but I learned from a lifetime mechanic that keeping batteries CLEAN is one of the most important things to maintain your battery! You want to keep them as clean as possible, because with dirt and grime along their surface, over time they short themselves out! VOLTS an travel across grime on your battery.
