Key fob problem!
Hey,
The battery in my key recently died, so I put a new one in!
Now, the doors wont unlock/lock unless I'm SUPER close to the DRIVER door handle (like within 2 inches) and my keyless go doesn't work. Always says "Key Not Detected"
I tried putting a new battery in for a second time. No luck.
Then I tried all the syncronizing procedures I could find and NONE of them worked.
I really don't want to have to buy a new key
, a family member just lost my spare so that would be 2 I have to buy which my dealer priced at 750 individually.
Any suggestions??

Hahaha, nope! I bought them from Mercedes. Mercedes packaging and all!
I dropped in cause I was passing by just a few moments ago and I asked them what they thought. The tech came out, had a look and told me that the rear antenna booster in the trunk on the drivers side wasn't functioning.
So I got them to get a price on it for me....
Turns out THERE ISN'T ONE. There are four antennae in the car, and none of them are we he said it was.
I love the service I get at my dealership!
It seems a bit too coincidental that 3 antennae would give out the EXACT moment the battery died...
I'm hoping this is nothing major but have had zero luck so far and not being able to get in the car without the mechanical key is a major PITA.
