Adding KEYLESS GO
Just helped my dad purchase 2013 c class with premium one package. The entire time I was under the impression keyless go was standard. During the end of the paperwork the salesman states the car doesn't turn on the car even after he added the button. I told him I thought keyless go was part of premium 1? I told him to let me keep the button and hopefully I'll be able to hack it myself by looking online. It's a bit odd because the drivers handle even has a button on it which the key doesn't work with either. I NEED to add these features. Please help. Thank you.

I believe keyless go is an independent add on. In my invoice sheet, it states "889 KEYLESS-GO $650 917 PZEV-Emission, USA" Also, i think one way to tell if you have keyless go is if the top of your door handles are chrome.

Keyless Go was a separate, non packaged option and is not terribly common on W204s.
It is nearly impossible to add after the fact due to the number of components that would need to be changed. That is not a button on the driver's door - it is an infrared receiver for remote control of the windows and sunroof.
While Keyless-Go is a nicety, no one NEEDS it...

Luxury vehicles are also not a necessity, but we bought them for the comfort, convenience and style. I get what you mean by no one needs it, but it really does make life A LOT easier. I just throw my keys in my pocket and without even having to touch them, i can unlock/lock my doors, start up the car and open my trunk. The technology behind it is very impressive. The car cannot be unlocked from the outside with the key inside (safe from car thieves), doors cannot be locked with sensor touch with the keys inside (protects you from locking yourself out) and one that i recently found out is if your key is in your bag and you throw that said bag in the trunk, the trunk will automatically open back up.

The very definition of necessity is something that is required.
No one requires a Mercedes. No one requires Keyless Go. These are all luxury items. Convenience is not a requirement.

Be careful, you can screw up your car starting when u try to install/fix it.
>car wont start
Fixable, but still a problem.
Also I don't want to sound like a ***** but, TEST DRIVE THE CAR

Our Jeep has it, I was surprised when I bought the Benz that it didn't come with it / push button start, but honestly, I don't mind.

Hahahahahahaha, +1.
Maybe if you get a parts list and then try and round up used parts from car heaven (scrap yard)?
It will be challenging. A lot of people will advise against these types of things based on difficulty or price.
But if you're up for a challenge and are willing to hunt parts down and give it a WHILE before you can get working on it, I'm sure it's POSSIBLE.

Specialty/weekend vehicles do not apply.
