Is it possible to add XM Capability to a car without?
I have a C300 2010 4 Matic Sport with very low miles and in the process of putting Skirts, Front Lip, Diffuser, and spoiler. So in other words I'm keeping it for much longer
I want to know is it possible to add XM Capability to a C300 without XM Capabilities, has anyone tried and succeeded?

Hmmm, some of the guys more familiar with the infotainment system may be able to better help you, but fr starters, which do you have? Audio 20 or command?

Hmm. I'm not sure. If there is an option for it on the Engineering Menu (if there is one on Audio 20) then it MAY just be a new antenna fin but I'm not sure... Plus youd have to run the cable...

Upon research of my own, It looks to be a XM Module is needed, but unsure if the system detects the module or not...

Do a search on here to find out if you have an engineering menu and how to get into it. Then check if there is an XM setting. Could be as easy as install the module and set it as installed!

From the looks of it it should be End call button, Pound/Number/hashtag symbol, and 1 then hold all of those to get into the Audio 20 Engeneering mode.

Yes! I would ask on the price of the module... Chances are you'll want to source it from a scrapyard though... I can see that being expensive but I have no idea! But if the options there, it should be fairly simple! (SHOULD be) I know barebones GPS only requires a module to function properly and they can get pretty tiny, so I'm guessing it's just a matter of adding it in behind with your player! Not sure if there are any extras for better reception that are built into the vehicle though. I would probably check.

So once I get the Side skirts, diffuser, front lip on and I'm happy with everything, gonna start working on the interior...
But I remember when I bought the car that the guy told me that it's very easy to upgrade these car entertainment systems because they have the hook ups for the modules, just not the devices them selves. So on that note will see!
Thanks again for the Help!!! (No homo)

Yes, I'll look into it... I'm currently working on the Exterior of the car CF Skirt, CF Front Lip, CF Diffuser, CF Spoiler, Muffler and Res delete. Got the spoiler on Muffler and Resonator delete done. Car has a 100% LED lights now!

I have never found anything particularly "easy" to upgrade about these cars... Except for maintenance!!!
I am looking forward to your build thread when its done!
