Springs

I know my car is a sport and it has the 18 inch AMG wheels, but the ride is insanely harsh and rough. Has anyone ever had an issue with the springs?

Thanks,
JP

What kind and age of tires and air pressures are you running? Tires will make the biggest difference in your ride. My wife has a C300 sport and I have a C350 sport coupe and I would not call either ride anywhere near savage. Also, what is your mileage.

Hi Atlas
The tires are less than a year old, Contiprocontact, pressure is at 42. Car is a 2012 with 29,000 miles

Check your door plates for correct pressures but I believe they are only 30 fronts and 35 rears (don't quote me) so that can't be it, check them anyway. As far as tires that is exactly what I have on mine with no issues. Strange for sure. What did you have before.

Should be 30 front 35 rear, but I have 17 inch rims so idk if that makes difference.

No I was asking what kind of car was your last car as my other car (911) is very stiff so by comparison the c350 is soft.

Last car was a Saab. I checked tire pressures and they are correct psi. I have driven loaner C300 cars from the dealer and they are much smoother.

Interesting. If tire pressures are right then maybe take it to the dealer and see if they can do a simple suspension check. Make sure everything looks right under the car. Very strange

2012 C300 sport
I have mentioned this a few times but I'll say it again if it helps you. I also have a 2012 sport, (17 '' wheels) and always thought the car rode far too "harsh". A few months ago I went to dealer for a trans. fluid change and the SA asked if he could look over the car. When he came back he said the car actually was sitting a bit too low and was I happy with the ride? Expecting some kind of pressure to buy something I reluctantly admitted I didn't like the ride at all. To my surprise he said some 2012's had bad front springs and Mercedes would replace them under warrantee along with a four-wheel alignment and headlight adjustment. After it was done the ride improved dramatically.
