Does anyone know ho to remove the rear cover of the m276 engine?
I remove the small screws and the v6 cover and th other two bolts underneath.
What other bolts have to be removed?
Thank you.

I believe it is just a retaining clip that you need to unclip. Usually you need to yank it up all at once but you need to be careful. Just make sure other guys confirm it.

Not just retaining clips.
I attempted today again but gave up.
I can't find anything on the Web about removing the rear cover which by the way it is not a cover but the whole plenum to be able to get to the sparkplugs.
Two small screws remove the v6 cover and two 8mm bolts make it loose but then we need more.

It seems like the throttle body needs to be disconnected but the clamps are hard to remove.

Where can I find this info?
Does anyone have service manual that describes top engine cover removal?

Thank you.

I just know theres a small lever thing near the back, and you need to pull up the clips.

I don't think you need to remove that to get to the sparkplugs. at least no according to this DYI I found on it. (I have not done it yet myself though).

Engine cover removal

I’ve been looking for a while at the engine and online and can’t seem To find anything about how to get the second engine cover off of my 2013 c300. I’m trying to change spark plugs just can’t get to the coil packs. All the other DIY videos are different engine covers than mine. It looks like I have to take the entire intake manifold off. Anyone that can steer me toward how to get this off or a video that shows it.

Not a second cover, that's the intake manifold upper section.

There are two bolts under the center cover, and two more in the back, about 3 inches down, look with a mirror to get an idea, then use a small socket with extension and they should come right out. From there, it's a couple vacuum lines and hoses and it comes out.

It's not necessary to remove to get coils, just unbolt them and tilt them outward, then pull up and off.

Do you know what size the bolts are? Having a P0506 issue, cylinder 6 misfire. Going to start by replacing the spark plugs and then check the coil.

The manifold bolts are an E10 external torx head. You can also use a good 8mm or 5/16" socket if you have to, they won't be tight.
