h&r sport springs installation problem

Hi,
I did the rear springs no problem.
I took the front left and removed it.
Trying to install the new spring is giving me a lot of hard time.

First I thought my spring compressors are bad an then rented a set.

I collapsed the spring to half the size of the original and I don't see how can I bolt the strut mount.
The top of the shock is far away and I can't pull upwards to extend more.

Am I missing something?
I also noticed the bottom of the strut has a plug which i had to disconnect to take it out.

Pics.

Thank you.

That stock strut had a plug? Like electrical or some other. Maybe your vehicle had dynamic handling package or something which may not be compatible with the H&R springs. Not exactly sure. Look up H&R springs to verify the application guide that you have the correct part for your vehicle. Should be pretty simple.

Here is the back with the electric plug.
Is there a trick to extend the shock strut further out?

It seems like a do have dynamic handling package (no one told me about it) but springs can still be changed, what if one fails and you want new?
Must be a way.

Look at the size I can work with.
No wonder my springs can't fit.
I tried pulling but this is the max I can pull out. Goes down all the way in no problem.

It's a Monroe a2073231300 part number on it.
Tried turning the plug on the side but no changes.
It almost like it needs to be told to extend all the way up.

I can't be the first one with this type of strut.
Thank you

Ok I got this, finally.
I just never anticipated I have to compress the springs so much.
The spring compressors are until the end and if I go an additional ring for more space I can not align the spring properly.
One done one to go.
I hope this is worth it as it was such a pain to do.

So far as I dropped it to the ground I noticed maybe 1cm drop from before.
H&r claim 1.2" at the front which is 3cm.

The super sport sprint have like three to four rows of non active coils that are intended to sit together basically acting like a spacer. Those were covered with a plastic covering to keep them quiet. But yea. No worries about compression on them because those particular non active coils are meant to be together. I have the same springs because I was going to install these bit then decided to go coilover. They were very soft and shpild be lo problem compressing.

Ok I see by the last pic. I don't think the spring compressor will work. It will keep those non actives from coming together. Standing the strut up and leaning down in the cap you can't get it attached? They are very soft springs.
