X-PIPE c350 or nah?

X-PIPE c350 or nah?
Shall i put an x-pipe under my c350? What are the benefits? Better sound & performance wise?
The car is already sported with some custom mufflers which the sound is already pretty impressive, can i make it louder with the x-pipe?
Somebody else have experiences with it?
How would much a x-pipe should cost with labor maximum?
And what kind of x-pipe brand should i take?

IMHO, x pipes barely did anything. Maybe added 5%-10% of my overall exhaust sound. No noticeable performance. Will cost you $70-$100 for Magnaflow X-pipes (2.25) and about $100 on labor depending on where you buy it and where you get it installed. Total of around $200. I first had my x pipes installed when my car was completely stock. Did not notice a difference with start up nor much of a difference on the road going through the rpm scale. If i knew the result, i most likely would not have gotten my x-pipes.

I did it on mine and only noticeable difference is under load, startup nothing.
I should have done the rear cats.
Next is quad e63 tips and mufflers as I need more noise, this thing is quiet as a mouse.

I did mine the first week I got my car and felt like I wasted the $200. You have to either get rid of the mufflers or put louder mufflers on. Just the X pipe as was said above is maybe 5-10% louder. Get a video clip of your car at startup so I can hear what you are running. Mine is entirely too quiet. Adi is right BTW there is an entire thread dedicated to exhaust. Issue is I believe Gen I cars are louder with the X pipe than Gen II cars and all version (200, 300 and 350) all sound different

I love my x-pipe it actually sounds like an AMG on cold start it cracks, rumbles and pops, when it warms up it sounds a little louder than stock. I love driving with the paddle shifters hitting higher RPM and hearing the exhaust note much more than stock.
for a $200 mod it was worth it for me. It's quite when you want quite, when you want to hear the car you can.
if you want extra noise just get an x-pipe and new mufflers, but for me an x-pipe was the perfect solution.

If you want loud do the x-pipe and muffle deletes. I did it with zero regret. People who complain about the cabin noise have never owned anything fast or a performance car. I notice little to no drone.

Can you do a quick clip of your car at startup and idle. I have a 350 but your engine and mine are exactly the same other than some tuning. It should sound very similar. I came from an 05 911 with sport exhaust and to me that sounded perfect. Forget the unmistakable sound of a flat 6, which is awesome but I loved the volume of it. It crackled and popped at start up then mild under 3500RPM then howled to redline. I regularly drive with the paddles and run into the 6K range in my benz in sport mode and just hate how quiet it is. I did the X pipe but I can't hear the car and I love to hear my car. Never had my windows up in my 911 and the radio barely on, just like exhaust sound and this is killing my soul. I can PM you my cell phone number and if you can shoot that over to me that would be great.
Thanks

I should add when i was researching to get this done, I was on the fence it sounds better in person than any of the videos out there.
every one obviously has there own opinions, for me it was worth the $200.
and yes it does sound different on some C classes than others..... weird.

Keep in mind there is an x-pipe and h-pipe. X-pipe will give more sound than the h-pipe.
I did my x-pipe and found the sound increased when car is under load but on idle is quiet as a mouse.
I just received my quad tips and the car goes for some work next week.
We will test without mufflers first and if too loud we are putting some high flow mufflers.
x-pipe by itself was not enough for me.
What i would recommend is second cats and x-pipe first and then mufflers if that's not enough.
I will post pictures and sounds after my work is done.
