Engine knocking or "pinging"
Hi guys!
Today was maybe the first time I drove my car with all the windows down and music off. I was going uphill with low revs and high throttle and I thought I heard a knocking sound, like when using low quality fuel and fuel predetonates so pistons and valves collide. I use 98 octane fuel and even 100 when on highway. So my question really is would the ECU store this as an error because I checked with my amateur OBD II diagnostic tool and no codes are stored. No misfires or anything... Car is running perfectly except for this sound... thanks!
