Correct eyelid / parking bulb

Correct eyelid / parking bulb
Like many MB owners I've gotten good at replacing bulbs. For some reason, though, I've become completely confused about the bulb to use for the parking (eyelid) bulbs on my 2010 C300 Sport. From what I found, I can use 168, 194, or 12961. I can't tell what the difference is between these bulbs and whether one is superior to the others in some way. I'd appreciate advice on the differences and recommendations. I want a good, long-lasting, white bulb but nothing fancy. OEM is fine.
Thanks in advance,
Tony P.

I put in w5w from o'reilley - if you look at Rock auto site - they show a GE w5w as well as Philips long life or even t10 led as alternatives ....
i ordered headlight bulb from rock a couple of weeks ago - they have low cost shipping option now - so overall cost was a lot less than autoparts store - and I didn't need to drive there !
Maybe be time to order a few spares ....

Don't worry, it's easy to be confused... There are many identifiers for the same bulb. T10, 194, 168, w5w, etc. Basically bottom line is you need a wedge bulbs. For LEDs, they will have to be canbus units to work properly.
If interested, we have our new V5.2a canbus wedge bulbs that will work for your eyelids error free:

These use the very latest in CREE XBD technology.

I just purchased the normal w5w's from O'Reilly. The passenger side works well but with the drivers side the w5w's don't work at all but LED's work half way and I still get an error message.
Good on top, bad on the bottom.

Not sure what is going on.

Looks like power surge damage, compromised the resistor solder at the base. They technical can still work with new resistors, but the current spike is still the number one killer for integrated units for some vehicles that have power issues.
The new V5.2a pulls less power than the old v5 design and we were able to trim it down as we no longer had to devote as much surface area to support the old COB diodes which were huge. CREE XBD are much smaller so install should be easier.
