W204 C180 Sport blueEfficiency
Newbie

Hi guys.
New to the site and have owned my first MB for about 6 months now and love it.
Couple of questions though. The car is a 2011 C180 sport blueefficiency and the Best MPG ive had on a good run is 38. Is that normal?
The other thing I have noticed is whilst in Economy, driving along and i put my foot down there is a lag before anything happens then it really motors. Not so noticeable in sport or manual but wondered if it was normal as going for a service soon.
Any help much appreciated.

Cheers.

yes the lag is normal(you can get rid of it if you know the right people lol, theres threads on this too), can't speak for the diesel gas milage but theres a thread use the search feature.

My opinion, 38 seems very reasonable if you drive spirited with the diesel.

I get ~20 city ~28 highway summer, ~24 highway winter.

That sounds like excellent mpg. What engine size is the c180? 1.8T or something?

I suppose you are in the UK then?

Yes its a 1.8T in the UK. Sounds like some of the models are a bit thirsty!
Might have to wait for a lottery win for an AMG at 12 MPG!

That's the thing!!! Is not even an AMG, is a C300 that gets me 12 MPG when I really push it. AMG's do around 9MPG

We don't get the euro models like c180, c200,c220, etc. We only get 250 and up (where the 250 I believe is the 180) pretty much no diesel unless your in Canada.

Hi Marco, would you mind sharing what can be done to eliminate the lag? Are you talking about ECU tuning, changing pedal curve or sprint booster?
