Has your W204 been good to you?
Bought mine in 2012. C300 fully loaded. I knew it was the last year that the engine was a non DI model so I bought it.
I've been looking at other cars, and quite honestly I can't justify selling this car. It's been really reliable, comfortable (for the most part), and good to me.
I'm curious - has your W204 been good to you?
Happy 2017 everyone!
(I have that 7 year warranty thing from MB which makes it even more difficult for me to justify a different car). I guess I'm like most car guys, I get bored, quickly, lol.

2010 C300 4MATIC........ 2011 C63 AMG.............. 2015 CLS400 4MATIC.....
Yes.
Since mine is my full year daily, miles are going to skyrocket. So I won't bother to trade in, will probably just keep as a track toy or something. Can't justify giving it away though.
Happy new year!

I'll put it this way, I've put 100,000km on mine within just over two years and for the way it's been driven for basically that entire 100k, I'm seriously impressed with how well it's held up. I'm at 184k now
I put new struts in this fall, car drives and handles just as well, if not better, than the day I picked it up. I've decided I won't be selling mine, it'll either be driven until it bursts into pieces or until it's claimed by ontario salt (and there's still not a spot of rust on it)

Intend to be buried in it.

Wow, I'm quite honestly a bit shocked having owned a 2000 S430, a 2008 S450 and now a 2012 C300. I thought I just got lucky as the first two vehicles were atrocious reliability wise.
I guess I'll keep it! The risk of having a car which has to go to the shops once a week isn't worth it. Glad to hear everyone's experience with their vehicles has been top notch!

April it turns 2 years old with me. Only thing I have paid for out of pocket has been a new battery. ELW has covered a blower motor (AC), rusty lug bolts, and a pair of sway bars that the mechanic suggested when I installed H&R Springs which dealer said were a bit loose. Only thing I would worry about post warranty would be 7G Tronic.

Received my factory order 4.5 years ago. Currently have 75k miles and it has been dealer serviced during the time of factory warranty. I've since done my own service moving forward with the exception of the transmission @ 70k (too messy) but so far nothing out of pocket except for mods and general maintenance.
The plan still stands to keep the car until I've at least reached the first high mileage award (155k miles). I'm also covered by Geico's extended 7year/100k mile warranty (can only be applied to cars purchased new).

Mine just turned 5 years, it has 60k and I couldn't be more satisfied with a car. It is perfect and I love it. I've never had any issue at all apart from some rattles but that's an insignificant thing.

Have a 2011 C300 4 matic sedan(wife's) and have replaced headlight bulbs, eyebrow bulbs, oil, trans fluid, battery, thermostat and belt (tensioner and pulleys I will do this weekend), tires and brake pads. 65K miles. Only real issue is the seat bolster is messed up otherwise great car. Had no issues with our 07 C280 4 matic prior to that. Have a 2015 C350 coupe that has been trouble free other than all the crap I have put on it

Like all posters have confirmed this platform is pretty solid. I have a 2013 C300 with 55K miles. Of those 45k have been driven by me. (Bought CPO in June 2014) No complaints so far and I really enjoyed it. Daily driver. Still on stock tires, will replace as soon as winter is over or whenever I see a good deal. My only complaint would be no remote start, and yes I know there is aftermarket but at this pricepoint and segment it is unacceptable that feature was not included.

Unless I'm wrong? G37, IS/ES from Lexus, BMW 3...I don't think any of these have remote starters (in Canada)

Pretty sure Infiniti cars come factory with remote start these days.
Purchased our 2014 C350 last may with 24k miles. Has 37.5k now. Wipers suck but otherwise car has been trouble free.

2016 BMW Z4 sDrive35i M Sport
I bought this car for my GF to be paid off and driven into the ground (but it is WELL taken care of). Now I'll probably renege on that and trade it before I intend to because I'm an idiot, but I bought extended bumper to bumper warranty with that intention. We've had it since March 2016, it has ~43K on it, and it's her daily driver\our road trip car. I've used it for hardware store trips, shoved a 50" TV in it, etc. I love this damn car for exactly the purpose I bought it for. I've had a few problems with it, though, but I have warranty for those things. The intake runner came off, somehow, on one trip and it had this persistent electrical issue since we bought it where every time you put load on the electrical system (even just hitting the brakes or blinkers) the headlights would flicker. It even caused a cylinder to shut down on me over Christmas on a long drive to her parents'. That was FINALLY traced down to a bad battery ground cable last week. Other than those things, it's been great and I don't consider those issues to be an indication of imminent major problems in the future.

2018 C300 4 Matic
That is a problem for guys like me that are always on the lookout for a different car. I think that I would be an idiot (of course, I have been before) to sell mine - even with the recent replacement of the exhaust manifold (cracked at weld) under warranty. Don't expect any undue problems and the car drives/rides great. 4 Matic for weather, fold-down rear seats for truck duty, enough motor - It should be a keeper. YMMV.

'08 c300. 150,000mi
At around 100-115,000mi many things started going wrong. ESL/EIS was the big one. Luckily it failed at the dealership during service.
At this point, I contemplated getting rid of it.
I do enjoy the car, but the next major repair, I'm getting rid of it.

I've had mine for over 7 years now, and I'm at 70K miles. I've had the ESL/EIS issue once, and I've had a tail light connector burn out (despite the "recall fix" being completed), which I fixed myself. Other than that, it's just oil changes and air/cabin filters.
I love everything about it after a few basic mods. If it wasn't for the ESL/EIS issue that can still happen at any time, I'd keep this car until the end of it's life.

Bought used in April of 2014 with 60k miles on it. As of now, it has 100k miles on it.
So far; Comand control knob(450$), Electronic ignition/steering lock (1400$), Spark plugs (150$), 2 Ignition Coils (130$), two failed TPMS (70$).
Other then that, normal wear, Tires, brakes, metric **** ton of bulbs.
Was expecting less, especially for a C class.

Sorry for the noobness, but what is the ESL/EIS issue? E.g. what do the acronyms mean and is it relatively common? And if so, how much is it to fix?
Thanks!
Thanks!
