Left low beam out(Or works when it wants too)

I got the message to check the low beam(headlight).
I took it out and check the bulb. Doesn't look burned out so i thought it was the ballast. But within the week, the bulb did work when it wanted too so i wont like to know what could it be. I ordered new bulbs hopping that it would just be the life of the bulb is giving up on me. Bulb type is D1S. If anyone have a idea of what it could be, let me know what i should check. thanks

THE C350
Probably an ignitor remember the bulbs don't burn out like halogen bulbs they usually color shift or the arc gap gets to big to ignite. One way to test for sure is to swap components off the good side and see what fixes it.

Switch the good ballast to the problem side and see if the issue resolves itself.

I am going through this same issue with my Subaru STi and am waiting for the mailman to deliver my ballast.
