Has anyone converted their 2011 w204 flip LCD compartment into extra storage?
In the near future I'll have installed a Pioneer AVH-4200NEX double-din stereo in my 2011 C350. The kit that relocates the heated rear seat and rear shade buttons puts them right on the dash. Aesthetically, it looks like crap because the material is flat. In my case, I don't have the heated rear seat options. I do have the rear shade button which I'm considering forfeiting and keeping the LCD compartment door closed. Has anyone here converted that compartment into extra storage?

I have the same issue w/ my C300…
I was thinking of ordering a single din pocket from another model, just to see if the size will fit, so that I could keep the door. Any thoughts?
