Recommended Tire Size for 19" (19x8.5) AMG double 5 spoke wheels

New guy here, just joined today!

I bought my first 'benzo last weekend (2014 C300 P1, Sports Pck). I have also ordered brand new 19" AMG wheels, and they should arrive this Thursday. Rim size is 19x8.5. what do you recommend for tire size? 235 or 245? other? i'm pretty sure i will need 30 or 35 (to allow for proper clearance between rubber and struts/shock plastic base/cover, and of course, the fender when turning).

Let me know what you think.

I'll post pics of car once i get the wheels installed this weekend.

Cheers!
-Jose

Max that will fit on front without rubbing if lowered on 45 offset rims are 225/35/19 so if you plan to lower ever don't get 235. Ask me how I know

Where was it rubbing? On the inside or on the outside fender?

I'm running the H&R SS no rear spring pads 235/35/19 19x.8.5 45F and have never rubbed with 3 people at most in the car. If you don't plan on lowering the car you will have no issues.

When the wheels are turned if you go over any bumps or potholes the wheel will hit the fender lip. On the rear it will rub as well on the fender well due to the wider tires.

Hope you don't ever decide you want to get H&R SS springs.
