Thumbs up 2009 C300 mirror turn signal replace

Good afternoon all,
I am new to this forum and my wife's c300...

Her passenger mirror turn signal had water condensation in it; I searched out how to open the mirror in order to replace this $20.00 part, after a few fruitless searches, I came across this video in German.

1 flathead screwdriver , 1 set of china torx screwdriver bits.
I saw on some posts on this forum some dealers asking above $300.00 for this job.

Took me 15 minutes, truly easy.
Removing the mirror is not as dramatic, pops right out.

Hoping it will help other members.

Update on turn signal

Additionally, I took the old one apart today.

The glue holding the lens (culprit for the water inside), appears to be something comparable to crazy glue, hard and brittle, hardly something that could withstand extreme sudden temperature expansion changes and the usual knocks at the supermarket. . It appears that this part is not made to the standards we are used to.
I opened it with an exact o blade.
Surely could probably be re-glued and placed back into service.

@gusm325 This helps so much!! Thanks for posting this. My 2009 C300 has the exact same problem. It has a chip in the outer clear plastic covering which is causing moisture to get in. I plan on buying a replacement clear covering, but how does that go on?? Is that just simply glued on with that rubber seal, or are there clips where it like snaps back on? Any help is much appreciated.

I'm glad the post helped you however, I took the old signal light to see what the problem was, it had some sort of silicone glue that was dry holding the lens.
There were no cracks or holes that I could see.
I ordered the entire light assembly from AutohausAZ; others have it too for about 40 bucks.

Thanks, so to confirm... that part number is not just the clear plastic lens covering, it is the whole blinker assembly (like bulb and all)? I don't want just the covering lol and the have to glue it back on myself.

Does this link help show what I am trying to say? It is the same part number as yours except left as I am in need of the drivers side. I was thinking of ordering it from here, but Autohaus does have a better price.

Sorry if I'm not making sense, so basically that part number comes with all the pieces included in your pictures already put together? if so that is exactly what I need. And thanks so much for the help.

My mirror light has been intermittently been giving me a warning for over a year. I ordered the replacement part and by following the video by the OP, I was able to replace it in about 15 minutes.

I found this video on YouTube as well.
The guy should have watched the other one and been done much quicker!

Thanks for the information!
