2011 C250 Tried K&N - Review
Hi guys,
Thought i'd share my experience with a K&N air filter.
Replaced my stock filter with the K$N today. The replacement that fits into your existing air-box.
With all the different opinions on the filter I have no idea how it will affect my engine long term but short term i'm bloody wrapped! (that means I like it).
My main hope was to eliminate some of the lag that the accelerator has (from stopped) and this has done exactly that.
I was very surprised how such a simple thing could affect driving performance.
Just my opinion but I would say it has cut the lag (from stopped) by as much as 50%.
Just my 2 cents.

I like my K&N Filters as well, I don't know why people doubt it or are surprised by it though. Efficiency/Longevity aside, it's engine tuning at it's simplest form, in general...MORE AIR = MORE POWER. The intake manifold on these engines is probably the most restricted part of the engine aside from the exhaust manifold. That's why the FCP Euro guys are testing out different model intake manifolds right now in their thread.

Yes but looking at your filters and then mine they are not really the same thing.
Yours are just awesome looking. Must get some wicked noises out of them. Not that you could hear them past that exhaust..

One day I want to test them both on a dyno, I'm sure that would make a good vid. Compare stock panels, kn panels, and kn cones and see what kind of numbers and temps we get.
