Harmon Kardon Blackout Question
Hello all,
A few weeks back, my wife's 2008 C300 pop-up LCD screen start making a mechanical sound as if it was stuck trying to process a command. Then the top left (if you're looking at it) started smoking and the LCD screen went black.
Over the next few weeks, it would blink 10 times upon turning on, and then go back to black. Occasionally, it would smoke. If you shined a flashlight onto the screen, you could see the normal buttons and images, but just barely.
In reading the forums, everyone blamed a bad LCD screen. I ordered an LG screen replacement off eBay, and it was pretty simple plug and play. Indeed, the old screen had burned through the wires in the top left corner and obviously needed replaced.
Now that I've replaced the LCD screen, the issue is not fixed. It still blinks and blacks out -- just without the smoke.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed?
