Warranty voids

Hi all, new to the MB family. Just bought a 2014 C300 sport and was wondering what specifics things void the warranty I have on my car. I just purchased a K&N air filter which shouldn't void it, but I want to know what WOULD.
Thanks,
Nick

A car
You're insane if you're putting on a K&N air filter on a car with warranty.

I would never do that. K&N parts are not official MB parts, and you're just opening yourself up for warranty denial.

Here's a thought. I get better airflow without an air filter. Do you think they'll block my warranty if they can blame the fact I don't have an air filter?

Yes, I realize i'm taking it to an extreme. Welcome to the forums, but I think you're playing with fire. Don't do it.

Hell, I put in a genuine cabin filter instead of the Mann one. Why? Even though everyone says the Mann one = OEM, there are 5 less folds on the Mann filter vs OEM.

Do I think I'll get in poop warranty wise if I ever have to make a claim? No - but there's a reason OEM costs more (other than the fact it's stamped with a MB label).

Now, I've asked. If I put in a MANN oil filter if I'll ever get in trouble - and the answer is no. Because MANN makes the OEM filters...

But if putting in a Fram oil filter means MB corporate says "no" to a claim, you can be sure that you're just setting yourself up for trouble by putting in a K&N air filter.

They can't deny you warranty for putting a K&N on the car. Personally I'd be more worried about wasting money on a K&N since I think they do nothing over a regular filter.

Not true... They make that sucking sound while pulling DIRT into your engine. Almost as nice has adding a "fat cannon" to your car.
