P2006 Error Code
Hey everyone - I have a 2008 C300 with one of those "Automatic" devices that stays connected to my car's computer that shows me fuel economy, GPS locations driven, trip tagging, etc. It also happens to notify me of check engine lights and error codes that have been stored.
A couple of months back I had an issue with my car where it needed to be towed in because the keys weren't working (ended up being the steering lock needed replacement)... I digress. I had removed the "Automatic" device and forgot to plug it back in. On connection, it alerted me to a check engine light and a code P2006, but unfortunately I don't know when this happened as I don't recall seeing a check engine light, and the car seems to be fine.
I did some research online, and see tons of people with problems of a plastic control arm on their intake manifold snapping/breaking and either needing replacement of the arm with another plastic (or better, metal) piece, or an entirely new intake manifold. However, this seems to be a common issue for the W203 models (2001-2007)... I can't find anyone mentioning the 2008 which makes me wonder if this manifold has been redesigned due to this weakness in the previous generation. Thoughts? The car is at the dealership now having the code and diagnostics pulled...
Thinking back, perhaps it could have happened a month or so ago when the car didn't start - I had put the key in and turned it on but it didn't fully start and seemed to stay off. I just assumed it a fluke and started and continued on my way. Anyone have any experience with a P2006 code on the W204 models?
Thanks everyone!

So, an update... the dealership just called and said it is sending an 0521 code that was getting recognized as a P2006 code by my Automatic device the flaps are sticking and apparently get corroded over time. Sigh...

Can you give an update on P2006? Did you use repair kit or replace new intake manifold. Thanks,
