2011 C300 - new Continental Tires
I had new Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 tires installed on my 2011 C300 this past weekend. These tires drive like a dream. Smooth, quiet and I feel like I am gripping the road. I love them!

MBWorld Fanatic!
I have the old DWS and can say I'll never get them again. There super loud now they started quiet but I'm defiantly going with michelin tires next time.
The noise is the only down side other than that the wear has been great but maybe they fixed the noise issue in the new 06s.

I've got DWS 06's also on mine, my third set actually, and have to say they are some of the best tires I've ever had, grip is amazing, noise is low. I did notice a drop of an mpg or two with them. I did notice they tend to get slick around 75/80 while wet even when half of the W wear bar is still there.
First set were perfect and lasted me ~45k miles
Second set must've been defective and wore out @ 20k
Bout 20k into my third set now, and they are great.

I just got Firestone Indy 500 Firehawks. Ratings on Tire Rack equal to Michelin at half the price. They are smooth riding, quiet, and have great grip. I'm so happy with my purchase.

I'm have had both Conti & Mich tires, on three separate w204, and hated them for slightly different reasons. For 703$ all in, balanced and aligned - I had a big tire chain pricematch Walmart, and put the DSW 06 on. I gave them 500mi, but they still had some vibration at 75/80 that the tire shop couldn't seem to balance out, even after returning to have it done again. I was still getting a thrumming that felt like flat spots. I figured I'd take it to MB to have them balance, before looking at returning them or rims as culprits. MB wasn't happy balancing someone else's sale, but I told them to if they wanted, they could force balance them. Which of course, they jumped at. So, after paying almost $195 more - and I have to say, for robbery -- it was worth every penny, not even a ripple, a wiggle or pull at any speed. The feel is total glass, just total control, and a quiet hum. Rides way better at 40K, than either of the two brand new 2013/2014 w204's that I had. Handles better too. Changed my view of the car for the better, and deepened my appreciation for the platform and chassis. They aren't perfect, I also lost about 2mpg HWY, and about even in the city, but they gave me a drastic improvement ride wise, and knowing I can hit a pothole and not have to replace a tire every 6 months or so. Never again OEM!

How much life are you guys getting out of your tires? Have Michelin Premier A/S which is a top rated tire, and will admit they are wonderful tires when it comes to grip and noise however they will be at the tread bars at ~25k miles. Want to replace with same as I am so happy with the Michelin's but the treadwear is horrific so thinking its the car and not the tire.
