Boot flap/spare wheel cover

I recently bought a W204 C350 CDI. The floor of the boot, which covers the spare wheel is loose. Looking at the edge furthest from the back of the car suggests that this is supposed to be fixed to the bottom of the boot with three bolts of some description, none of which is present.

Is this the case? Is it supposed to be hinged at the back? Does anyone know what type of bolt or screw is used so I can get some and fix it in myself? I'd rather do this myself than pay the no doubt extortionate price that a dealer would charge me to fix this fairly trivial fault.

My car came like that also. I think all is used are those black plastic trim pins or clips that are used throughout our cars to keep trim pieces in place.

Some guy on the assembly line probably just forgot to put ours in.

Have you just left yours like that?

I find it rather annoying as the flap/lid thing doesn't always stay put. I shall have to have a closer look at the holes to see what's supposed to go into them.

Mine stays put but I want to put those clips/pins back in. I just keep forgetting to go buy some from my local dealer.
