Mercedes C250 2013 Sedan - Clutch
Alright,
Just a quick question to you guys, did anyone ever change their clutch on an automatic transmission? If yes then what was the cost? Is it a must to change the clutch?
I dont have a problem with the clutch yet but my mechanic said that I've got a 'weak clutch' and could last only for a week or maybe a few months which might also make my tranny fluid black / bad. Is that true? or is he looking to make extra bucks?
The car seems to be driving fine and i didnt see any issues yet.

I have had no issues with my transmission on my C250. Are you having issues with your car? What transmission is in your car?

Yes,
I recently changed the conductor plate and reprogrammed it. My car was on limp mode with a speed sensor error.
Now that is fixed, but again the mechanic told me something about clutch, guess benz clutchs are really good and tough, not sure why would he mention that
I have a 7 speed 722.9 7G

Very dubious when you get that type of advice usually throws up the internal red flag, did you ask for a diagnosis of a problem or where you getting some other maintenance done?
Unless you have a problem stick to the trans fluid and torque converter oil change schedule.

I'd go along with the New Zealand brother........................
Even more so when I check the maint. sked........(shows 70,000 mile 7G+ transmission service interval..............
It'll take awhile (Odometer current reads 32, 554).
Love the car, appreciate the classy dealership(s) - there are three - respect the service director............. Sole concern is $$$ (reckon that's not just my concern).............

So basically my speed sensor was having and issue and I changed the whole plate with him because the speed sensor doesnt come seperate. When he changed it he told me that my clutch is "weak" now not sure if he means clutch or the transmission conductor.
