Just wondered whether you have a service book that you could refer to ?
A Service for my 2007 220CDi is oil & filter change plus service display reset, fill washer bottle & check brake system,
It cost A$400 back in 2007 but I always did it myself for less than 25% of that.

Like Carsy, I've always done these myself. To me, I have always referred to the A service as a cash grab by the stealership to rape your wallet of any money. It's quite literally a glorified oil change and the rest of the service you can most likely be able to do yourself. Actually, even B services I do by myself these days (yes, there are a few items I can't check (like driveshaft flex disks), but as per my dealership they don't really check those anyways).
We don't have diesel C classes here in Canada, but if it's anything like the petrol/gasoline ones, it's very easy to do an oil change. I once did mine dressed in a 3 piece suit (came home from work) and didn't drop a bit of oil anywhere!
