another recommendation in addition to the above would be Permatex 25905.
you will only get one shot at it before they are never separable again. there's no moving it once they touch. excellent on plastics, rubber ect

Thanks for the recommendations on which products to use. Does anyone have any instructions on how to remove this piece? I feel like I can do a better job and cleaner if I can remove the trim and glue it and put it back when its dry.

This is strange. MB extended warranty should cover those trims. I had a few of my door trims (chrome parts) peeling and was replaced under the extended warranty. No questions asked.

Trim Is Coming Off
Mine is coming off also. Not all Mercedes are made at the same level of quality. The c class seats aren't even leather. There is a fix! You can either purchase a new one or epoxy the old one. That's what I'm gonna do. Still a great car. Cars don't last forever though.
