2014 C250 Sport vs. 2009 C300 Sport
Hey guys, first post here. Im in a bit of a dilemma, I am purchasing my first car and am deciding between a 2009 C300 Sport with 66k miles on it for 14k or a 2014 C250 Sport with 44k miles on it for 18.6k (this one still has 6k miles left on the factory warranty as well). I feel like while going with the cheaper car on paper is the smarter financial move, buying a car that is 5 years newer and another 4.6k dollars more might make more sense. Im interested in your opinions and experience as this will be my first Mercedes.

IMHO the C300 engine is more reliable (tried true and tested and doesn't have direct injection). However, engine aside I think the 2014 model may be more reliable.
If I had to choose though i'd get the 2009 (because i've had bad experiences with direct injection engines and vow to never buy one again that doesn't have both DI and port fuel injection (dual injection)

Reliability wise there are neck and neck imo. Personally I think it comes down to style and choice of interior. I personally like the PFL over the FL model however tech inside the FL is way better imo. If you haven't driven both then I suggest you do so because the driving style of these two cars are completely different. One feels light over the front tires and the other one feels rather heavy in comparison. I love my c300 over my brothers c250 FL but again it comes down to (for me anyway) driver feel behind the wheel.
