Yes the OM646 engine fuel cosumption is higher than the OM651... check the same car/engine consumption at spritmonitor.de.

My car's even with 4Matic... www.spritmonitor.de

That makes the difference.

On that site i see a lot in the range of 6-7lts/100km.

So i have been recording the refuels, always full tank, same diesel.

So i got this:
8.33l/100km for 751 km
8.83l/100km for 726 km
8.39l/100km for 761 km
8.57l/100km for 610 km

The air filter is OEM, staggered tire setup 18", car just carries one person almost time, no cargo.

Next refuel will get premium diesel with additives.

But is a high consumption....

If these figures are on motorway runs only then they're high. I get average of 6.7l/100km with mixed city and motorway driving. I'm using only premium diesel with additives.
