Navigation update for 2017

Where can you purchase a navigation DVD for a 2013 C350? The update is outrageous at the dealer. (For North America 2017 version)

The Becker Map Pilot is the chip module you use for navigation, haven't heard of a dvd navigation.

You can purchase one from Ebay with 2017 map updates. Never buy it from the dealer, they always charge too much.

I just purchased mine from ebay for £190 with 2017/2018 maps for Europe.

If you already have the becker map pilot, just go on their website and pay for the latest update.

Could you share the link? Do you need to get the license code from the MB dealer?

Ive got the w204 facelift, they take a retrofitted module which goes in the glove compartment, simple plug and play, not sure on preface lift version.
You don't need to get any codes through mercedes, Becker is a Mercedes approved navigation that works as soon as you plug it in.

Here's the link to the becker map pilot:

All you have to do is take your Becker module and plug it into your computer's USB port and download the Becker interface. Once you register you can download the map update. The only problem is that it's $99 to update the map. I'm probably going to drive mine for a while longer before updating the navigation.

I had gotten spoiled by my $279.00 Garmin with lifetime map and traffic updates with bluetooth.

I am in America. I was under the impression that there is a DVD to use in your player in order to update the navigation software. I agree with you when you said that the dealership is way to expensive but the other stuff that you were referring to, I don't have any idea. I'm finding that my car (2013 C350 4dr sport) it's hard to find that DVD that is right for my year and model with the 2017 updates is what led me here...

No, you can't upload it by way of DVD for a 2013.

This is what you need:
http://m.ebay.com/itm/232160358738?fits=Make%3AMercedes-Benz

Here's a YouTube video explaining how it works, just buy the module and then plug it to your computer, go to the Becker Map website and pay to update to the 2017 version. Once updated, plug the Becker module into the slot inside your glove compartment.

This cradle doesn't exist in my glovebox?

As per one of the comments...?

"I think you are confused about the positioning of this system. This is a lower cost/aftermarket add-on. It is not the same as the COMMAND."

If it is the COMMAND system, then yes, yes you CAN. In fact, it is the only way you can do it on the newer COMMAND system NAVI units. Ask me how I know this... (I just did it recently). You can buy the DVD for around $50 online or $65 at the dealer. You will also need a unique PIN code for the activation (license) that has to be entered when doing the update. This is the expensive part ($150), and the dealer will generate a PIN code for you when you buy the DVD (they get the PIN direct from Mercedes after they enter your VIN). This topic has been covered before in these forums.
The link below includes the cost of the DVD and PIN code.

Thanks.

This still requires going to the dealer though. There is no way to NOT go to the dealer and there is no way to JUST be able to use a DVD for an update.

Either way you still get raped at the stealership.
