I'm late to the thread but I run Michelin Pilot Super Sports and have been really happy with them. I'm not sure if that is the same models but it's a summer tire. I have about 10K on the back and probably about 15-20K on the front and all 4 appear to be like new.

I haven't been able to get my car aligned correctly either. I've had the dealer do it about 4-5 times. It has been driving me nuts. I only had to pay once and even got the extra bolts added.

I've come to the conclusion a C-Class can't be aligned, lol. As twitchy as the handling is on this car it makes it exhausting. I'm going to skip the dealer and see if I can find a good alignment shop.

dealers alignment is the best option plus you got free bolts lol thats really good. I usualy go to firestone 90$ but they messed up once and they dont provide bolts. Planning on going to a dealer now for 170$

Don't go anywhere but the dealership for an alignment, I thought I'd go else where I just ended up spending more money .

I haven't been to the dealer with regards to an alignment but I too would caution you against going to an independent. I thought I had done my research, I asked for recommendations in this forum, checked outnyp reviews, Google reviews, even checked outnBMW firuns....

I finally decided on one shop, made an appoitment (doesn't take walk-ins) drove 90 miles to get there, arrived on time but was made to wait an hour because a friend (who clearly had just walked-in) was "ahead of me", then waited another hour while my car was up on the rack as he argued with someone on the phone. Charged me $120 only to tell me that "no adjusments were made, the only way to re-adjust anything would be by using some new bolrs that he does not recommend using". But then he directs me to this nearby side street he advised i should go drive down, to ensure that my front wheels do not pull left or right..."... What happened to "no adjustments were made"? And my front wheels were not pulling left OR right!

One of the very rare instances when I've gotten a recommendation on this forum only to end up getting screwed!

OEM tires on my coupe - circa 32,500 odometer - show surprisingly little wear.

I found my Tire Industry Tread Depth Gauge and 6/32 shows all around (no rotation/dissimilar size).

I'm pecking this out heading north on the Mississippi River (Right now I'm having difficulty recalling the brand of tires.....................)

I recall the word "Contact" somehow associated with my tires. TireRack says they are All Season LRR.

So there you go.

With Contact in the name they are probably Continental.
