hey guys sorry if there is a thread on this already, new to this site and couldn't find what i was looking for.

I keep reading different responses on what oil filter and brand I should get for my car. Should I be finding some kind of part number? If i'm understanding this correctly, it looks like there's different sizes? I just got my car in dec. and don't know a whole lot about MB (or just cars in general)! I have a 2013 c300 4matic sport. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I always get mercedes filter from the dealership around 25$. I know there are cheaper brands online if you buy a lot but dont want to wait and original is original what can you say..

Check out either ECS Tuning or FCP euro they sell Mercedes filters for less than the dealer. I order two oil filters at a time and a cabin filter and air filter to save on shipping. You can buy Mobile One at Walmart for $24 for a 5 liter jug, my c300 takes 7.5 liter so I but two and then the next time around I only need to buy one.

There has been speculation that Mann filters are the same as the OEM. They all seem to be manufactured in Germany and look identical from what I've seen.

I get the fleece version of the oil filter which the dealers around here don't carry. I've heard they use them in the European markets. On Amazon the fleece filters cost less than half of what the MB parts department charges.

I buy the Mann filter since they make them for MB.


$15-$20 CAD on Amazon. Filters from the dealer are around $32 ea CAD.


This way I use two filters per oil change. I'll put a fresh one in halfway through to my next oil change.

That is the correct one for m276 engine which is what your car has.
