I recently purchase a 2009 W204 C200 Elegance, I think its EURO spec. The car is for my wife & child and I would like to install a reverse camera for safety reasons.
Done some research and I can replace the whole unit for an Android 8 inch system for about $850 but this is a bit of an overkill since my wife don't need the GPS and media player etc.
Ideally I want to add just a reverse camera to the standard screen.
A local dealer said I need a interface + camera for $500. Which seems a bit expensive for just a camera.

No reverse camera option in the Engineering Mode.
Any advice or options?
If your wife doesn't need GPS, media player ... then you could install a rear view mirror with a built-in monitor. It sometimes includes a backup camera. Do it yourself and save $$$. I installed the camera myself and it was easy.
