Hey guys , I have a 2008 c350 and I just got the resonator and muffler deleted and got straight pipes in its place. The issue I'm having trouble fixing is this weird clicking and popping noise coming from the exhaust while it's in park. When I give it some gas in park it becomes deep n the nice bum bum bum sound and even in drive it's good but only in park it's bad. I'll be attaching a video soon. I know it's not the heat shield or hanger. Could it be an uneven balance of airflow due to the straight pipes in place of the resonator? Should I get an H or X pipe installed? And would it help the issue!?

Tuning an exhaust for sound is based on trial and error, personal preference, and is more of an art than a science.

Anything can affect the sound and tone of an exhaust..... size of tubing, length of exhaust, muffler choice.

So, yes, whatever modification you did to the exhaust resulted in the exhaust tone you're getting at idle.
