Strange coolant temperature behavior [Help needed]
Hey guys,
just signed up because I think somebody here could help me out with my problem on my car.
I've read a lot of the topic here on similar problems and now just want to shortly present you my little problem.
The thing is, that the coolant temperature warning sometimes pops up in my cluster. The temperature then rises about 10°C ... when the warning is gone (this can happen directly after the message or even 10 minutes later, it varies each time
) the temperature will drop 10°C immediately.
For now I have replaced the thermostat and the coolant temperature sensor. Both did not work out.
So next thing I think is, that it could be the radiator fan. It seems to work, because when I pull the connector of the coolant temperature sensor it will go like a turbine on full speed to keep the engine on a low temp.
Is there any change the radiator fan is not working on the first stages? How can I check this?
And is there any part you would suggest me to have a look at if something is broken?
I don't want to replace the radiator fan without any reason if it isn't broken.
After the message popped up and my engine got very hot I made a video, that shows how the temperature gauge goes up from 94°C to 109°C instantly:
Thanks for any help!
