Figured since I have so many mods I would do a build thread.
I will start with when I purchased it all the way to the latest mods today.

Previous car:

2005 C240 4Matic, bought with 65k Miles in 2013 and passed on to my mother in 2015 when I bought the C300 with 45k miles.


2015

Current car:

2012 C300 4Matic, bought in 2015 with 45k miles, now at 83k miles.
Day of pickup.

I wasn't feeling my other wheels anymore, they look nice and the design is nice, but I never liked the face being dark machined instead of regular silver machined and gloss black insides instead of satin black which would make the wheels pop more. Also they are full of rashes so I might sand them completely to take off the dark machine coating and bring out the shine.

What 507 sticker? Not atm, but they are very good quality and look very real.

If you're looking for H&R street performance coils off my 2013 c350, i'll sell you mine for $750. 6500 miles on them, never tracked. or a seibon CF GT hood for $1000. pick up though.

Don't be jelly The only rice part is the caliper cover, but who cares 99% of people in Berks know is a Mercedes, but have no idea what AMG is so doesn't really matter Plus it fits really well

Did you go to the Maple Grove Raceway car show this weekend? It was packed.

Also I still don't understand what makes our suspension so different. My car rubs a lot more now that I went from ET45 to ET42 and you hardly have any rubbing with 5MM spacers that put you at ET40. Could it be my springs are more compressed so my car is lower than yours or maybe Continental vs Hankook make that much of a difference in diameter?

Feeling everything but the hood stripe, but that's a matter of taste. I'm in New Hope, PA (Bucks County)...if you're ever in the area, we're a fun bed and breakfast bar hopping town. Would love to hear more about your added paddle shifters

 

It is, I think it looks extremely well with the yellow calipers and the red taillights, plus the hood is not very aggressive without it. Sounds good, looks like you live near 97 GSX 97

 

So it never ends... I also like small details a lot.

Hey man, checking out your thread I've got a similar build going on and want to do certainly some of the things you've got going on. It's good to know we're close by, hoping to hit you up on some of things you've done and who did them for you. Definitely the X pipe is on the hit list soon.

 

Sounds good. X-Pipe alone is not worth it IMO, you have to pair it with 2nd Cat delete to make it more noticeable.

 

I have a few more updates I need to document. Full carbon trim wrap was done last week instead of silver carbon I used black and some bumper canards I need to get installed.

 

Ultimately my wife will be doing the lion's share of the driving in this car, so I'm going stealth as much as possible but there's a lot of tuning available for the car so I do want to tackle some of the more subtle things. I really like the C63 shift paddles you installed and I would certainly tackle that. I thought it was pretty ballsy but you showing the picture in process it actually seems a lot simpler than so many other mods.

At this moment I have my ECU out at OETuning getting done, should have it back by tomorrow. See how much this 3.5 liter GDi V6 can gain from being the same lump as in the C350. I wanted to become familiar with the nature of the car as much as possible before doing the ECU so I could get a better sense.

I also notice that a lot of the mods you did with the Star Diagnostic tool are things that are there on the 2013, like the silver theme on the command screen.

 

Man what a sick journey you had, congrats. Quick question, how did you manage to update the two screens to the silver theme? Did you go to a dealer and was it difficult to do?

 

The only thing you really have to be careful with doing paddle install is not to overcut because it will be permanent; otherwise, it is pretty simple. Yes, the 2013s come with the updated software that makes the interface look 10x newer so it was a must for me.
