Fuel temperature too hot
Hi to all.
I have a problem related to fuel temperature as you can see in the attached image.
The fuel temp is at 60 celsius, not in the range of max 50 celsius. This cause a rough idle to my car.
Quantity control valve will inject mere fuel.
I tested on star the sensor and tested the pipe from the fuel tank temperature and both is 60 celsius.
Can someone bring an ideea why this is happening?! What can cause the temperature of fuel be so high?
I have no other error on star. The car is c220, cdi engine with 170 hp 2007 year w204.
Thank you in advance.

Not real familiar with MB diesels but have had experience with other marks/brands. If your Benz has a fuel cooler would check to see that it is not clogged. My most common cause of seeing high fuel temps on my Cummins has been a clogged fuel filter(s).....has yours been changed on schedule?

I changed the fuel filter 500 km ago with oil and other filters... i had seen an improvment of idle but still rough.
If there is a fuel cooler I don't know where is located... I can't find it. Does somebody know where to search for it?

If you Google CDI 220 fuel cooler there are many posts with pictures and location posts. The fuel cooler cools fuel as it returns to fuel tank so not really optimistic this the cause of your problem unless you only have the higher fuel temps after running the car hard for quite a while or with a near empty tank.
Would be useful to know where the temp sensor is located...

I know the location of fuel temp sensor on w204...
the fuel temp before the fuel filter coming trom the tank is 60 celsius so the fuel in tank is too hot. I did measure the pipe temp...
There are on google information about w202 and w203 cdi fuel cooler but I don't find anything about w204 my case...
any link is greatly apreciated
