left side passgenger parking light was on and killed my battery, any help

my passenger side parking light was on and killed my battery any advise. I think I recall this happening to me 4 years ago then my dealer said the battery was good and after a month my battery died, ended up changing my battery.

now after 4 years I noticed that the right side parking light was on and my batter drained out.. I got a boost and turn my switch to auto instead of 0 car is running fine but not sure why would the parking light come on,, maybe I did it mistakenly
by turning the switch to P not sure. doesn't sound like

You might've bumped the switch to turn on the passenger side parking lights.. I remember when I first got the car I did that by accident, and spent a good 20 min trying to figure out the "cause of the grounding issue that's keeping the one side of parking lights on"

Were both the front and back lights on, on the passenger side? I know these cars had a recall for grounding issues with the tail light bulb carrier, if you haven't had those replaced by now you might want to look into that as well. Usually though, that issue just causes burnt out bulbs and occasionally a burned ground wire on the connector

I for some reason occasionally do the same thing...leave the "eyelid' parking light on, always the PS side since that is the nearest to the Off position.

Hi,
Leave the switch in auto instead of off, in off with an old switch there is enough tiny debris inside the switch to turn on a front park light on or make it intermittently flicker. Leaving in Auto avoids having to replace the switch.

Buy a battery charger if you don’t have one Ctek is the brand to go for and charge the battery.

If you have electric sunroof I would advise replace the battery if it is more than 1-2 years old, the reason is with a failing battery it affects the memory of the sunroof module and the roof starts stuttering when closing due it has lost its memory of where the stop point is and only the dealers can reset it.
