Mercedes C200 scrathed navigation display

Hello,

I just bought a Mercedes C200 (2013) and the display is scratched. I read about Novus products from amazon that can clean the display. Is it true?
Thank you in advance for your reply

That isn't a scratch so much but it is a damage to the coating. It happens when someone tries to clean the screen with anything other than a microfiber cloth.

You can actually remove the coating with ammonia and patient buffing but it gets hard to do around the corners.

Once that is off you could keep it like that or get one of the screen protector type coatings to go on top.

I just have mine with the factory coating cleaned off and no 3rd party film. It looks fine to me and it no longer looks splotchy.
