Poor low beam problem

I have a 2009 C300. At night time, the best I can describe it is, it seems like low beams don't put out a focused beam. The light they put out only projects about 20' out and puts out like a fog light beam. I tried to adjust them, but that didn't help any. I just upgraded to some 5000k HID Xenon lights. That didn't fix my problem, still does not project a focused beam of light down the road. The high beams are the bomb and work great...Does anyone else have this problem, if so, what did y'all do to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Had the same complaint until someone helped me figure out how to raise the headlight aim.

I did adjust them up, made a little difference, but not much. The problem was that when I did that, my high beams were pointing way high. Can you adjust the high beam and low beam separately?

Upgrading to Xenon wouldn't help much without adding projectors.

These cars must have one of the worst halogen setups of any modern production car. Somehow the new bicycle lights are managing to outshine me on the road - no joke.

I would like to do Depo projectors with a Xenon HID kit some day.

People seem mostly happy with them. Although I think many do it for looks. Reviews I've read seem to indicate improved visibility as long as an OEM type color temperature Xenon bulbs are used. I haven't been impressed with any of the aftermarket LED bulbs I've seen retrofitted. The beam pattern with those just seem off to me.

I haven't done it myself so I'm just going on the research I've done.
