Brake Flush/Brake fluid exhange

Basically, are these the same thing? Service B lists a "fluid exchange" I only ask because I am due for Service B soon and I don't want to have a separate brake flush done if it is a part of Service B.

My 09 C300 is sitting on 36,600 miles right now and I just recently had the transmission flush and filter done, as well as changed the spark plugs (more-so for age reasons), threw on a new set of Pirelli P7 tires over the summer, and had the front/rear pads/rotors all changed out. Just trying to keep the car in top shape is all, but don't want to spend where I don't have to.

Ask the service advisor to be sure - but a brake flush / bleed involves pumping new fluid in at the brake fluid reservoir and extracting the old fluid from the bleed valve at each caliper. The dealer should also be able to flush the abs system using the star tool (computer) they have - which most diy’ers cannot do. Again ask the advisor if abs system is also flushed ....

A good indie can perform this service at probably less expense than the dealer ... it is not difficult or time consuming.
