W204 Knocking noise
Hello all,
I have an 09' W204 and have had a knocking noise coming from my front passenger side wheel well for some time now. Initially I only heard the noise while driving over bumps and over the course of 3-4 months has progressed to a more constant knocking noise while driving at slower speeds. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this issue? I've looked around that area a few times with my car raised up and didn't see any obvious signs of damage or wear and tear. but I'm not a mechanic and may be missing something. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks

I too had a knocking noise in front right wheel well. I thought it was the sway bar links, I replaced them and still had the noise. Then I got it up on a lift and found there was a rock wedged between the frame and a shield. Once I removed the rock the noise went away. This might help.

i just recently got one. It sounds like a low pitched hollow noise. Ill see if there are any rocks, which actually would be a culprit in my case...hopefully its that easy.
