17x8 40mm offset wheels fit?
Will 17x8 rear wheels with 40mm offset fit without rubbing? I'm assuming the 17x7 45mm offset front wheels will absolutely fit, but I'm worried about the rear. Also would 225/45/17F 245/40/17R tires fit on 17x7 ET45mm and 17x8 ET40mm wheels?

You can use a tire/wheel calculator online..but for reference, if a 18x9.5+45 wheel with 255/35-18 tires fit in the rear with no rubbing, then I can almost be certain a mild 17x8+40 wheel will fit.
