So my cars belt sometimes starts squeaking, its not the tensioner/idlers or belt sicne I changed all that but sometimes after a long drive, the belt just start to squeak intermittently.
I've been trying to hunt down the noise for a few weeks now since its only under certain temperatures and time the car has been running. I can see the cranck pulley/harmonic balancer shake a little, i mean I've seen other cars that had the balancer virbrate way worse with no issues nothing else seems to be out since the alternator and water have also been replaced previously.
How old is the belt and what brand ? The newer belts do not show signs of cracks but can still be worn .... so if you didn’t replace that I would replace with new conti tech or oem belt - if you replaced all tensioners and pulleys did you get them all aligned properly ? Look at edge of belt for wear issues with that.

It's OEM belt with aftermarket pulleys, when I got the car it had about half the belt left.. At first I just changed the tensioner and belt and it was eating up my belt, ended up having to buy a second belt and changed the 2 idlers, that was about 45 000km ago, the belt isnt shredding or anything but the intermittent squeak has always been there.. At first I just though it was some oil that got on it from me cleaning the engine bay so I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol (electrical cleaner) but that didn't help. I now resort to putting some silicone spray on the belt every 2 weeks about and it seems to quiet it down far a while till the silicon dries out.
Il order a new belt tomorrow and see, maybe it's just a faulty belt.
