Looking for a poll to help decision on a display unit

Shouting out to all Benz owners... Need help in making a decision... I want to upgrade my display unit on my C250 w204, but can't decide which route to go... I'm a gadget freak so hardware spec's and function matters most to me, but also style and appeal matters too. The In-dash display unit is 8.8" wide and the outside of the dashboad display unit is 10.25" wide, BTW...
So, I wanted to ask for a poll as to who would select which option and why? In hoping this would help me make a decision as to which option to select. I couldn't find a video on the second option, but the second option has all the spec's laid out of what it has with it. And Please vote based on more than appearance.. Please take into consideration features and functions, as well. If it was specifically decided on appearance alone, of course I would choose the in-dash display unit.

Below are links to the 2 display options I'm considering, but if anyone knows of other options, that would be helpful as well...

I think the E-Bay option just looks too hokey sitting out like that. The You Tube option looks more integrated and factory looking, but that is a pretty long reach to activate the touch screen with it that far in the dash.

I think you mixed up the options.

The one in-dash is the ebay option and is the one that looks factory. The one outside of the dashboard is the youtube one. But if you go by how the new mercedes display units are now being installed... the one outside of the dashboard would be looking like the new cars today. Oh, and the ebay in-dash option is 8.8" compared to the youtube option is 10.25"
BUT... again, I'm still on the fence as to which one to get. If it was your car, which one would you pick?

Yeah, sorry about that, I did mix the two up, but the sentiment is still the same. If it was my car, I would leave it as is. The new ones have that exposed tablet look that I am not a big fan of, but even with that I still think the one that is exposwed still looks hokey. To each his own. Just my two cents.

I vote for the one that looks more OEM. The add on sitting on the dash look just doesn't do it for me.

The software for the one that looks like oem looks like garbage though, with the tablet one exactly like the new models with the software.

That's exactly where my indecisiveness comes from. Why I can't make a decision. This is how I'm seeing it too.
So, is your vote for the "tablet looking one"?

If you're using an iPhone, and were looking for more versatility through the head unit (Apple CarPlay), I'd look at this option: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-smartbox.html
But, if I had to choose between the two I'd choose the OEM looking one. Like Adi-Benz stated, the software for it looks pretty bad.

The OEM looking one is the one with the software that looks bad. The "tablet looking one" is the one that the software looks like it's from the factory.

However, I have an Android phone and my first reason even for wanting to upgrade my display unit was due to the small screen my car came with. I want a bigger screen.
BUT... I just found out from the manufacturer of the OEM looking one that it supports XM Radio, which I was held off by of not leaning towards this one because I didn't want to give up my XM SAT. radio.

But, I still welcome your input and more options to come!

Thank you for your insight!
