Bad engine noise

Bad engine noise
Any help on what this noise could be it sounds like rum rum rum rum rum rum thanks guys i appreciate the help

Could be the alternator clutch.
Is the belt running smoothly ?

it looks like its running smooth although the noise is comimg from the front

The cheapest would be to remove the belt (remember inserting the pin in tentioner pulley to hold it back), check the belt and every other moving pulley running from the belt.

do i check the belt to see if its damaged? And check pulleys to see if they're loose?

1-I assume you have checked the fan, seeing it is seperate from the belt-?
2-I read somewhere the belt may not looked cracked, but -not- be ok.
Have you got any idea when the belt last replaced-?

3-Yes, thats what I would do, get the belt off ( Note the flow of it for replacement). Check each part/pulley that turns as a result of the belt running over it, and -see/listen/feel- if you can detect something that could cause the noise...Alternator, Steering pump, AirCon, water pump, Tentioner pulley, Idler pulley 1 & 2.
Crank pully difficult, but it may not feel loose in any way.
If you cant determine from this its more difficult, and you might need help from a dealer etc.

I do not know what you know and if you can do this.

And of course you can run the engine for a short while with the belt off to see if the noise has gone away...
