Coolant overflow line?
Coolant overflow line?
Just curious if there is a overflow line for the w204 c350 2010.
Reason I ask is after 5 days of it being -30c, i moved the car today, and noticed some green fluid in the snow.
Took the car for a spin and checked a few more times for a leak and saw nothing.
My guess is the coolant expanding with the cold weather (does this on my snowmobile all the time) and drained a bit of rad fluid out of the overflow line?
Let me know your thoughts.

Well, unless you serviced your cooling system a 2010 MY coolant is Blue not Green for MB. And as far as I am aware our reservoir is the overflow expansion tank for MB's cooling setup. So no, it doesn't have a technical overflow relief outlet.
Green, car was purchased used last year. I checked coolant reservoir fluid looks green, released some of the pressure, threw snow back under the car, let it sit for a bit, fire it up, run some errands, come back, park leave for a couple hours, check, no green.
My guess is hose fitting released fluid on first start up onto the fresh 1ft of snow that fell the night prior, so the leak happened at time of detonation. 7 day -20c => -30c weather we've had the past week and today it warmed up to 1c
Coolant level hasn't moved any, no smell of it when driving, no temp change. Car is responsive, doesn't seem like gasket issue.
Not going to worry myself. Purchased unlimited $20,000 parts and labour warranty for 2 years. However if I do not use it, I can extend it for another 2 years for only $100! So fingers crossed if it comes down to another leak spotted, hopefully it's not something I can't tackle for the right price
